Best phone-in conference call company
Hi Amber: If you want, you can use Zoom and people can call into it on their phones. If this is a platform you are comfortable with, it may be an easy solution. Many other common platforms such as WebEx also let you call in via phone instead of computer. If you don’t have a videoconference platform that you use, I have a list of teleconference companies on the remote public meetings sheet we posted at the LM Coronavirus site: https://www.michigan.gov/documents/libraryofmichigan/CONDUCTING_A_REMOTE_PUB... Zoom - works well with mobile app, computer application, or just call in from a landline Rebecca Dunkle Associate University Librarian for Library Operations University of Michigan – 102 North Hatcher Library 913 South University Ave. Ann Arbor, MI 49109 734-936-2379; rdunkle@umich.edu On Tue, Apr 7, 2020 at 12:13 PM Amber Hughey via Michlib-l < michlib-l@mcls.org> wrote:

Good Afternoon Amber, There are two different methods available. If you want a simple conference call, Free Teleconference is the easiest. Friends of Michigan Libraries and several other public libraries have successfully used this platform. It requires a telephone with no internet. You would send the dial-in phone number and the access code. (It can also be listed on your website for community members at large to attend you meeting.) You as the lead person would dial in and open the meeting. Everyone else simply dials the phone number, enters the access code followed by the # sign and they are automatically joined into the call. freeteleconference.com<http://freeteleconference.com> If you want a video conference call, then Zoom seems to be the preferred method being used. This method involves downloading an app and Internet access, but allows up to 100 participants in a ‘live’ virtual meeting.
