Crunchy Roll / Insight Questions

*Topic: Crunchy Roll Questions* */Insight* *Contact: afischer@manisteelibrary.org <afischer@manisteelibrary.org> * I was approached by a virtual academy teacher last week about being their library sponsor to create an outreach account with Crunchy Roll. The "problem" is that they are completely virtual, with students statewide, and that doesn't really "fit" within Crunchy Roll's parameters for a free outreach account. Their virtual academy is also based within another county that is part of a separate library system. They are interested in creating an anime club, and I'd love to help them, if I can sustainably. I am simply curious if anyone has worked with Crunchy Roll before, and what exactly it would entail from our public library's end. *If you have any advice or insight, I'd really appreciate hearing from you! * *Please reach out directly to me at afischer@manisteelibrary.org <afischer@manisteelibrary.org>* --

Hi Angie! I've run about a year's worth of Anime Clubs at our library here in Adrian, and we used Crunchy Roll's "Library Outreach" instructions to keep things going. The link for the instructions is here <https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028877891-Library-outreach> . Basically, follow the instructions. Be aware that Crunchy Roll doesn't always get back to you expediently, but I've never had to wait any longer than a week for response from their support staff. It's super easy, you give them the info about your club and your library, and they'll send you info in return about your FREE All-Access Crunchy Roll subscription. Both times I requested this, our library account was award 180 FREE days. As far as I know, this is one of the only/safest ways of legally streaming most anime. It worked for us, super easy. Hopefully it'll work just as well for you! Please feel free to email me for further details, if you'd like. Good luck and have fun! *Toni Lea Isom (they/them/theirs)* Youth Services Librarian Assistant Adrian District Library 143 East Maumee Street Adrian MI 49221 tisom@adrian.lib.mi.us On Tue, Oct 8, 2024 at 12:14 PM Angie Fischer via Michlib-l < michlib-l@mcls.org> wrote:
