Happy Sunday! I'm part of a committee to reboot RWA's Bookseller and Librarian committee ( https://www.rwa.org/booksellers-and-librarians). It's been inactive for over five years and we're looking to reboot with a big bang. (I should note all of us on the committee are librarians.) With that being said, not only am I a librarian but also a bookseller and romance writer so this project is near and dear to my heart. RWA partnered with ALA and PLA in the past for grants to give to public libraries to build their romance collections as well as sponsoring the Cathie LInz Librarian of the Year award ( https://www.rwa.org/librarian-of-the-year). We also have (outdated) shelf talkers and promo materials So there's been a lot in the past that we want to bring back with a vengeance. With all of that being said, what can RWA do to support public libraries? Is it curating readers' advisory lists? Creating promo materials? Getting list of local authors to do signings or talks?
