letter from Charles R. Bodner
Hello -- Last Thursday I received in the Mail an letter addressed to Public Library and our address. The letter was not written to anyone but it was copies of letters that were sent by Mr. Bodner to various state agencies such as the Attorney Generals Office . Did any other library get this type of mailing? Something that I should be concerned about or toss in the circular file? I did look up the name in our database, no resident with that name in our area. I also looked it up on Google. He is mentioned but not in postive light. looking for donations for his poetry. We got one, only a week after our township clerk got the same letter and tried to pass it on to us. Random copies including a parking ticket and a letter to the Pennsylvania State Library. After taking the time to enjoy, ponder, and reflect on the creative medium of choice that Bodner used is his recent expression, I shared it with a couple of other people. Manchester District Library did. Our police department looked into it, the guy is not working with a full deck, I know this for a fact as I received one of his "cards" in the envelope he sent. The East Lansing Public Library has received 3 or 4 pieces of mail from Mr. Bodner over the past couple of years.
