FYI, if your library is interested in having a Holocaust survivor speak at an event, you might want to consider contacting Irene Miller. She speaks to many groups, including schools, church groups, and others. Irene and her family were stranded in a frozen field outside of Warsaw, Poland when the man hired to help them escape instead cheated and robbed them. The family struggled to survive as they became separated, reunited, and ultimately sent to a Siberian work camp. Irene tells the story in her book "Into No Man's Land" which she sells after speaking engagements. Irene can be contacted through her website http://www.irenemillerspeaker.com/ or by email millerirene39@gmail.com. Barbara Kriigel Univ. of Michigan-Dearborn
