Job Title: Program and Outreach Specialist (part-time, 20 hrs per week) Salary: $12/hour The DeWitt District Library is accepting applications for the position of part-time Program and Outreach Specialist. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, provides library programming and outreach services for library patrons of all ages. The Program and Outreach Specialist will assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the library including planning library programs for infants, toddlers, youth, teens, and adults; provides readers advisory and informational assistance to all ages; facilitates partnerships with area schools and organizations, assists as requested in other areas of the library. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. One to two years of work experience in library programming, literature or education is desired. A high degree of comfort using computers, e-readers, and searching the Internet is required. Experience working with children required. Flexibility in scheduling including the ability to work evenings and weekends is required.
