The Vicksburg District Library seeks an energetic, innovative team-oriented professional to work as our Reference and Young Adult Librarian. Primary responsibilities include developing, implementing and promoting services to young adults, providing reference services, computer assistance, and assisting with collection development. Part Time- 30 hours per week. This position includes evening and weekend hours. Qualifications: This position requires strong customer service, internet and computer tech skills. Applicants must possess good people and communication skills, and the ability to deal with the pressures of public service work in a busy environment. Ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of a wide variety of print, database and web resources, experience assisting patrons with computers, and prior experience with teen programming.
