Program recommendation - Annie Spence

Author and librarian Annie Spence gave a charming presentation of her book Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks: a Librarian's Love Letters and Breakup Notes to the Books in her Life <http://search.mel.org/iii/encore/record/C__Rb33835543__Sdear%20fahrenheit%20451__Orightresult__X7?lang=eng&suite=gold> at the Grosse Pointe Public Library this month. She read from her book, chatted about her path to being published and signed books afterward. Originally started to entertain herself while weeding, the letters are sometimes funny, sometimes salty but always on the mark. The book is not just for librarians (although we especially loved it!), any book lover will enjoy. Annie is currently a librarian at the St Clair Shores library, as well as a sub in Grosse Pointe. I highly recommend her program and her book. Contact info is on her website<https://www.anniespence.com/about/>. While you are there, check out her interview on The Dinner Party Download.
