We are pleased to welcome James P. Hill, to discuss his new novel, The King Must Die. In this novel, a future CMU professor explores the unresolved issues behind the conspiracy to assassinate King James Jesse Strang of Beaver Island in 1856. In his research journey, the professor faces political threats from those who do not want this issue resurrected and evidentiary hurdles to re-examine an old issue most historians considered settled. His unusual methodology results in new insights into the King Strang assassination plot.
