Larry Martin's WWII in Their Own Words Presentation
H Everybody, Today, the Clarkston Independence District Library (CIDL) and the Clarkston Community Historical Society presented the very first virtual edition of Larry Martin's WWII in Their Own Words! Larry Martin shared an interview with Michigan WWII veteran Fred Bahlau, a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division who fought at Normandy on D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne, Belgium. In addition, he had other stories about Fred that he shared after the interview and took questions from the attendees. For a first-time virtual event, we had a very good turnout, and CIDL looks forward to working with him again. If you want to contact him for future programs, his email is batt.chief@yahoo.com. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Sincerely, Emily Blakowski [cid:fc61e97d-2996-4f28-92cc-05774b8b1fe1]
As a History major and In Their Own Words program host, I can attest to the quality of Mr. Martin's program. The Fruitport District Library had him last November. I definitely recommend his recorded interview presentations. Be sure to give him a couple of hours.
