The Uniform Chart of Accounts provides a systematic arrangement and means for the uniform accumulation, recording, and reporting of financial information and transactions for all local units of government in Michigan. Local units of government, including public libraries, are required to use the Uniform Chart of Accounts in administering their financial accounts. In 2020, the Michigan Department of Treasure issued an update.
