Free presentation and gallery talk on Albert Kahn, March 28

Lawrence Technological University is hosting two authors on Detroit architecture who will highlight the importance of Albert Kahn buildings in Detroit and the little-known decorative details on Kahn buildings. The presentation will take place at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in LTU's Architecture auditorium (A200) followed by a gallery talk across the hall in the Architecture Gallery. *"Building the Future: Albert Kahn in Detroit" * (7:00 pm) Michael Hodges (Detroit News, covering the art and museum scene) author, "Building the Modern World: Albert Kahn in Detroit" to be released April 16 *"Guardians of Detroit: Architectural Sculpture in the Motor City" * (follows) Jeff Morrison (Historian, Graphic Artist, and Photographer) author, "Guardians of Detroit" to be released in 2019 Reception is co-sponsored by Albert Kahn Associates architectural firm.
