KDL Reads: An Evening with Jacqueline Woodson

KDL is honored to welcome award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson to help us wrap-up KDL Reads, our community reading program centered on her book Brown Girl Dreaming. Please join us at Comstock Park High School to hear this wonderful speaker read from her powerful coming-of-age memoir. She will discuss how she found her voice in order to tell her story through beautifully rendered poems steeped in memory and rich with family ties. Jacqueline Woodson's presentation is free, open to all ages and will be followed by a book sale and signing. KDL Reads is sponsored by Consumers Energy, the Grand Rapids Community Foundation and generous donations to Kent District Library.
