Deadline nears! MLA Tech & Trends Workshop Proposals (Michael Stephens keynote)

Michlib-l friends: The Michigan Library Association Technologies & Trends work group is seeking proposals for presentations at the Michigan Library Association’s 2015 Technologies and Trends workshop -- and the deadline is this Friday (Nov. 14). Added attraction: Michael Stephens of the Tame the Web blog, Library Journal, and San Jose State University will be our keynote speaker. This is a one-day event, on June 5 , 2015, at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, and it should attract a wide variety of library practitioners. The planning committee is seeking proposals for sessions from public, academic, special, and school-library professionals and staff that will share new library technologies or introduce innovative ways libraries can use technology to be more effective and efficient. Possible topics could include but are not limited to updates on discovery systems, the library staff - IT relationship, technology for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, copyright, and responsive web design.
