Willow Run & Rosie the Riveter Program

Hi all, We had an excellent program on Willow Run and the story of Rosie the Riveter, which was led by Tribute Rosie Claire Dahl. Claire highlighted the history of the Willow Run B-24 Bomber plant, the inspiring story of Rosie the Riveter and the involvement of the Yankee Air Museum with the National Veterans History Project. She presented in costume and got everyone excited about how the U.S. became the “Arsenal of Democracy” during World War II. Her fee of $150 is given directly to the Yankee Air Museum as Claire is a volunteer presenter. Her email address is apqueen.claire@gmail.com. Please let me know if you have any questions. [Rosie the Riveter presentation to take place Oct. 12 in Adrian] Have a great weekend! We had Claire here at Zauel Memorial Library in Saginaw in May and our patrons loved her! They are still talking about her visit. She really brings the subject matter to life in an interactive and exciting way.
