A patron was asking about a picture book she read as a child in the 80s. The story line had something to do with a rabbit that gave a carrot to his neighbor animal as a gift, and the gift was passed on. She can't remember title, nor author, but does recall it was beautifully illustrated. It may have been a folktale. It may have had "rabbit's gift or winter gift" in the title.
