Head of Circulation/Reference The Vicksburg District Library is taking applications for the position of Head of Circulation and Reference Librarian. This is a permanent, part-time position (30 hrs/wk). Must have MLS/MLIS from an accredited school or be enrolled in a program earning a degree within one year. Experience preferred but not mandatory. Duties: • Direct the circulation staff • Oversee the operations and management of circulation system (Verso) • Order adult materials, Audiobooks, Video Games, Large Print • Moderate monthly book discussion group • Interact with patrons • Publicity- write South County News stories, create marketing materials and displays • Page and circulation staff training and supervision • Webmaster- manage website • Aid patron in use of computers and tablets • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Knowledge of MicroSoft office programs • Good verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with circulation systems Starting pay: $18-$20/hr Benefits include: • Two week paid vacation after one year • One sick day for each month worked • Birthday paid day off after one year.
