Artificial Intelligence in Libraries

Hello, We're looking to introduce AI into our library both to staff and patrons. I'd love to know what other libraries in Michigan are doing to add AI into their spaces? Hello! While investigating the implications and opportunities for AI in libraries, it should be noted that, as with any new initiative, libraries – particularly public libraries- should tread carefully and review any legal implications of specific uses with their attorneys prior to implementation. AI services such as ChatGPT and other AI applications have copyright and other legal risks. The law is rapidly developing in this area and a library will want to be as informed as possible when planning AI programs and initiatives. It is important that public libraries understand any risk so intended programs can mitigate it. If anyone needs a list of Library Law Attorneys in Michigan, please let me know.
