Responsive Web Design at MLA Technologies and Trends Workshop

Are you interested in responsive web design for your library but don't know where to begin? Be sure to check out "Responsive Web Design--A Paradigm Shift" at MLA's upcoming Technologies & Trends Workshop on Friday, May 16 at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. This session will provide a brief overview of RWD, where it began, what elements comprise it, the importance of RWD on your website and the practicalities of implementing it. Should you hire a vendor? Handle it in-house? Details on the Michigan State University Libraries' implementation of responsive web design using the Drupal Omega theme and solutions adopted to transform an existing, fixed width library web site to a responsive design will also be shared. More information and registration can be found on the MLA website at http://www.mla.lib.mi.us/events/workshops/tech . Bill Marino MLA Technologies & Trends Workgroup 2014 wmarino1@emich.edu
