Hi all, A few weeks ago MeL.org<http://mel.org/> database provider Gale Cengage Learning<http://www.gale.com/> announced enhancements to Kids InfoBits<http://kids.mel.org/HomeworkHelpers>, (found in the MeL Kids Gateway under Homework Helpers) with the addition of educational videos. Now, they've announced similar enhancements to MeL eResource Research in Context<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=MSIC> (found in the Kids Gateway under Homework Helpers and Teens Gateway under Homework Help). "Approximately 750 videos, including videos on topics frequently studied in middle school earth science and physical science courses, have been added to Research In Context. Examples include: biomes, electromagnetism, motion, tectonic plates, photosynthesis, and several others." Available videos will be listed as a format type after selecting a subject or on the results page from a specific search. Videos are generally just a few minutes long and include content providers such as NOVA, AP (Associated Press), and Visual Learning Systems, Inc. Remember, while Research in Context includes content for literature, social studies, science, and history, these videos are geared to middle school earth science and physical science topics.
