The workshop speakers are: Holly Hibner and Mary Kelly (Plymouth District Library) will help you to take charge of your collection, with tips on how to make smart weeding decisions, minimizing staff and patron challenges. Samantha Minniss (Grand Valley State University) will encourage you to take charge of your attitude by explaining how patron bashing is destroying your spirit. Mike and Hilary Gustafson, owners of Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor, will provide ideas for taking charge of your library's image, encouraging librarians to try bookseller strategies they have used to make Literati a popular destination. The workshop registration fee is $15 for TLN library members, $20 for non-TLN library members, and $10 for library science students. A program flyer and registration form are attached.
