Children's Library Cards

Do any of you follow a practice where you allow kids to keep their library cards on file in a rolodex (or drawer or box, etc) at the library? If so, why and what are your policies/procedures regarding this? Your input would be appreciated. Erin Schmändt Director Caro Area District Library 840 W. We have a patron who cannot remember the titles or the author of a trilogy he would like to re-read. The stories have to do with a boy as the main character who is in middle school and has asthma. His friend is a girl in middle school. He goes through a portal where there are tow disputing groups. One wants to stop mining and the other is in favor of it. There are about seven levels to the bottom where the mining takes place and where there is dark matter that is creeping up through the levels. If the dark matter reaches the top, everything will be destroyed, including Earth. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks for any help!
