Hi Librarians! I wanted to give a wonderful 5-Star review for a presenter we recently had at the Walled Lake City Library. *Golnick Dental Associates* in West Bloomfield visited us this past Friday for a *Dental Storytime*! They came prepared with several picture books on brushing your teeth, their "Brush Your Teeth" dog stuffed animal, coloring sheets, and goodie bags containing toothbrushes and info for parents. We aimed our storytime for toddlers since that is the crowd we usually draw, but this could easily be done with older kids as well. We read books and every kid practiced brushing the dog's teeth while they talked about the importance of keeping your smile bright! I brought out Play-Doh Dentist Kits and the staff at Golnick helped the kids with the (play/fake) dental tools and decorate their tooth-fairy boxes! The parents loved the chance to ask questions about dental hygiene for their little ones so I would say that this was overall a hit!! If you are looking for an awesome event for summer reading (maybe dinosaurs visit the dentist?), consider this! They said they would love to do more events like this at other libraries.
