*JOB POSTING: Library Director, Dorr Township Library* Dorr Township Library seeks a Library Director to promote and continue the Library’s commitment to quality library services for the Township of Dorr and surrounding communities. Dorr Township Library is part of the Lakeland Library Cooperative which shares resources across eight west Michigan counties. The Director will work closely with the Board of Trustees and the library staff and volunteers to articulate its vision for library services, create and implement library procedures, administer the library budget, assist the Library Assistant in directing library programs and services, manage facility needs, and execute fundraising and resource development. Dorr Township is a thriving and growing community situated in northern Allegan County and the Library services rural and suburban patrons of all ages. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and Level 4 Certification from the Library of Michigan. The successful candidate will have a strong customer-service focus, excellent interpersonal skills, solid managerial and budget management abilities, and is able to work in a team-based environment. We are seeking a candidate with an innovative and creative approach to library functioning who is also able to reach out to the community at large to keep them informed of the library’s wide range of resources, programs, and funding needs.
