Issues with Violent Video Games

We had a patron complain about seeing some youngster in our library playing a violent video game recently. Our library board now plans to discuss the matter in terms of policy. Are there any libraries in our state that prohibit certain video games? If so, are they only prohibited to minors/minors who don't have parental permission or to everyone? Does any library have a specific policy statement on this matter? I'm looking for assistance in best responses. Thanks to all who respond. Derek Barth Bath Township Library Center

Thanks to all for your replies so far. Keep 'em coming. In our case, the game in question was one they play through a website called Roblox, which is marketed toward 8-18 year olds. We don't lend any video games at this point. I am almost certain that the game that the patron objected to did not show any blood splattering, only the action of shooting people.
