Here at CSLP, we truly value the impact that summer programming has on communities in our member states and nationwide. We love to see those numbers tick upwards in the "participated" category! Won’t you help us generate that national number? Our Statistics Committee works hard every year to bring you a streamlined survey experience. Here's some of the data we collect: * How your library tracks participation in your summer library program. * Total number in each of the three age groups who participated in your summer library program. * Total number in each age group who completed the minimum goal. * Total number of summer library program-themed events for each age group. * Total number of individuals attending summer library program-themed events for each age group. Our annual summer reading survey is open to all public libraries that did summer programming, regardless of the theme you used. The Collaborative Summer Library Program is excited to launch a fourth national cohort of Building Community-Based Summers <https://us.list-manage.com/YuaoJdVw3JL?e=c18caf2bb6&c2id=af1903f9dbc818a053007192abcae8b6> (BCBS) in Fall 2026! [decorative] BCBS is designed to help member libraries identify the “whys” behind their summer services, build strategies to engage community voices, and create and provide inclusive summer services for all members of their communities. Selected participants will have the opportunity to engage with a nationwide cohort of library staff to dig deeply into these topics. What librarians say about BCBS: * “I'm so impressed by the amount of thought and care that has gone into creating this curriculum. The resources provided were new to me, unique, engaging, and very helpful.” * “We have been looking to make changes to almost all aspects of our summer services, from registration to logging, and prizes/completion. This series and the materials shared will be providing the framework to get us started in the process.” * “Thank you for the experience! I enjoyed talking to other people from different libraries! It has expanded my knowledge and has changed my point of view on libraries and communities.” The fall 2026 cohort will gather for online learning sessions once weekly for 6 weeks in October-November 2026. BCBS is open to applicants from CSLP member libraries. There is no charge to participate. This fun exhibit shows a society of dinosaurs, discovered by archaeologists!
