
AHPL is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our Adult Services team. Position: Adult Services Librarian - Part-Time Hourly rate: $18.00 per hour Benefits: Prorated paid time off. Employer contribution to a 457 after 1st year. Hours: Up to 28 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Reports to: Renee Holden – Information Services Coordinator Qualifications: * Must possess a MLIS degree from an accredited school. * Experienced with current and emerging technology and workplace software applications. * Ability to show effective relationships with all staff, and work in a team environment. * Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work independently Primary Job Duties: * Provide reference and reader’s advisory assistance * Assistance with all formats of information, including print and digital resources. * Plan, organize and oversee programs in-person or virtually * Participate in outreach events * Participate in long range planning of programming, collections and services * Participate in the selection of materials with focus on the non-fiction collection * Attend in staff meetings * May attend relevant workshops and meetings. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, bend, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach, and carry books or boxes of books, push book carts, use the telephone, lift, push, pull objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
