She has authored dozens of professional books and books for children, contributed chapters to numerous textbooks, and written over 100 published articles. As a professor, she teaches courses in contextual inquiry and user needs assessment, makerspace culture and tools, information literacy, and library and information science. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ This event is the first in a two-part winter speaker series MCLS is co-sponsoring on topics related to Intellectual Freedom for Libraries. The second speaker, Dr. Emily Knox of the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will present "Intellectual Freedom and the Rise of Banned Books" in-person at Western Michigan University (with livestream access for those unable to travel) on February 7. She will also offer an all-day workshop at Western Michigan University on February 8. Registration details for the Dr. Knox lecture and workshop will be shared next week.
