Hi all, We over at the Glen Lake Library are getting more VOX books, books with electronic talking speakers in them that narrate the book for kids, and we've been grappling with what's the best way to shelf them. We have a small handful right now and they're just on simple metal divider shelves which works, but since they have a bulky plastic part on the inside cover, they don't line up nicely like other kids books. Since we only have 20 or so, we can put a lot of them on display holders, but we plan on getting more and they definitely won't sit nicely with more of them there. We have the shelf space allotted already but I'm wondering if others have some shelving solutions for them. What have you guys done? Bins, magazine holders? Thanks, David U. At Commerce we use file dividers like these for the picture books: [image: image.png] [image: image.png] And then slotted shelving (the kind we use for DVDs) for the chapter books that are too big for the dividers: [image: image.png] We started doing this a while ago, and haven't run into any issues! Hi David, We have a lot of VOX books, and we are always purchasing more. These are a huge hit in our library. We ended up swapping out the shelves for hanging bars. Each VOX book goes into a bag patrons can take home including the charger. If we want to display them, they are stood up on top of the shelving units.
