Good Morning, As you are aware, the National Electrical Code (NEC) is revised every three years (2011, 2014, 2017) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The NFPA 70 is the newest, current edition of the NEC: https://www.nfpa.org/NEC In conjunction with the every three year publication schedule of the NEC, Michigan issues the Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8. These rules adopt by reference the NEC, and also include Michigan specific deletions, additions and amendments to the NEC. The 2017 Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8 went effective January 4, 2019.
