Online Language Programs Spring 2022 MSU’s Community Language School is offering online language programs in spring 2022. Our online language courses are designed to provide a fun, virtual learning environment which will introduce kids to different languages and cultures with a focus on developing oral communication skills. Family programs are offered for kids 3-6 years of age, kids programs for children 6-9 years of age, pre-teen/teen programs for kids 10-14 years of age and adult programs for 18+. Our small group classes will be held live via Zoom and taught by qualified instructors. Classes will be held for 10 weeks, meeting once a week via Zoom (links will be sent the week before classes begin). Classes will start the week of January 24th and go until the week of April 11th (there will be no classes the weeks of March 7-11 and March 28-April 1). Our youth programs are offered in the following levels: -Beginners: Classes are designed for students who have had little to no experience/exposure to the language with an emphasis on oral communication (there will be no formal reading/writing instruction). Classes will meet for 45 minutes per week. Registration fee: $50 -Intermediate: Classes are designed for students who have had some experience/prior exposure to the language; while the emphasis will be on oral communication, students will also be introduced to reading (for languages that resemble the English script) or writing (for languages that do not resemble the English script). Classes will meet for 60 minutes per week.
