Great Librarian and wonderful woman. I grew up at/in her library and remember all of the fun times at the Millington Library from playing on the coffee can drums, winning a drawing contest, summer reading, getting the books from the library and riding home on my bike etc... Hi everyone,

I was asked share the sad news. Peggy Olsen, former director of the Millington Arbela District Library, passed away from stage 4 cancer yesterday. Her daughter, librarian Erica Firment, and her husband Bob Olsen were there with her. There will be a memorial service, but the time, place and date have not been announced yet.

In her time at the MADL, Peggy made some wonderful changes, from bringing in computers, to the creation of the district library, to buying the property next door. She was able to retire in 2016.
