Can anyone recommend a bindery that does custom and hand-work? I am familiar with Bessenberg Bindery in Dexter, but has anyone had experience with another one? It doesn't need to be located in Michigan. We have some items that need careful custom work for slipcases, clamshell boxes, special preparation and cropping of pages, etc. The binder we use for periodicals is not set up for this kind of custom work. Thanks in advance for your assistance! We use Wallaceburg. Here's their web site: www.wbmbindery.com<http://www.wbmbindery.com> They pick up and deliver. I think the prices are reasonable. I don't know how "custom" they can get, but I'd call them. Mary A. Hanson, M.S.L., A.H.I.P. I have used the HF Group, it has changed names over the years, but does very good work: http://www.hfgroup.com/ Molly On Thu, Dec 18, 2014 at 12:55 PM, Kathie Brown <Kathie.Brown@farmlib.org> wrote:

Michigan State University maintains a list of local book repair services which will also include people that can do the kind of work you are looking for. http://www.lib.msu.edu/preservation/local.jsp Another option is the HF Group which provides a large number of services. The company includes several binderies with the closest one, formerly Heckman Bindery in North Manchester, Indiana. http://www.hfgroup.com/ There is also Wallaceburg bookbinding which is located in southern Ontario, Canada, but has a Michigan address. http://www.wbmbindery.com/ Hope this helps and good luck with your project.
