As a result of a sabbatical, the Lydia Olson Library at Northern Michigan University is seeking a librarian for a 6 month term position at the Assistant Professor level. In the Olson Library Public Services unit, the librarian gives direct assistance to users seeking information, instructions to patrons in the use of library resources, and helps facilitate access to information in a variety of formats. Qualifications include a master's degree from an ALA-accredited school or ALA-approved foreign equivalent, experience in a library setting, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and colleagues.
