*Interlochen Arts Camp* *A Unique Work Experience* Situated on 1,200 acres of forest and nestled between the shores of two crystal clear lakes, Interlochen Arts Camp annually employs more than 1,000 summer faculty and staff. The Camp provides a diverse and enriching arts-centered learning experience for more than 2,200 talented youth from around the world. Involvement in Interlochen Arts Camp not only makes a difference in the life of young artists, it also enriches the lives of those who work among the arts community each summer. *Academic Library Intern* *2 positions available* This is a great 7-week internship opportunity for someone interested in librarianship as a career. This position serves the needs of the Interlochen Arts Camp, helping to provide campers, faculty, and staff with resources to support their arts specialty and personal interests while on campus. Duties include circulation, shelving, book processing, and implementing summer programs. Assist library patrons with finding information utilizing a variety of databases and the catalog. Other responsibilities include summer projects ranging from collections management to work on the library website. Candidates currently in an MLS program are preferred. Excellent customer service skills, technically savvy, enthusiastic-especially in regards to working with young adults, detail oriented, willingness to participate in a team environment. Salary $1,200.00 includes room and board June 15, 2014 - August 4, 2014 *Archives Assistant* *2 positions available* This is a great 7-week internship opportunity for those interested in an archival career. This position serves on the front lines of Interlochen’s young institutional archives initiative. This person will be providing much needed assistance in the organization of the archives, conducting inventories across campus, and assisting in the digitization and cataloging of print and photographic archival materials. Assist the archivist in a variety of capacities. Main job functions include handling, processing, and cataloging archival materials by providing standard metadata. Responsible for digitizing photographic collections and handling negatives, slides, and print photographic materials. This position will be sharing their time (40 hrs/week) between the Institutional Archives and Photo Archives. Other assignments depending upon the interests and skills of the intern. Candidates currently in an MLS or archival studies program are preferred. Proficient with technology, extremely detailed oriented, work well within a framework.
