Teen Programming Assistant - Oak Park Public Library

The Oak Park Public Library has a great opportunity for those looking to make a difference in the lives of teens, earn youth-related experience, and participate in a partnership with Oak Park Public Schools. The Oak Park Public Library is uniquely situated directly across from the High School and is looking for a Teen Programming Assistant to engage with after-school teens in a positive way through activities, talks, book groups, art projects, movies, games, and other fun events. The library currently has ongoing programs scheduled with the school and through a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council to help enrich the lives of teens who, often, stay after school for hours waiting for transportation home. The position pays $15.00/hour and the hours are Mon-Thur 2:00 or 3:00 - 6:00 and Friday 2:00 or 3:00 - 5:00.
