The Paw Paw District Library is looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Youth Services Librarian to join our team! POSITION: YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN HOURS: 40 hours per week, weekdays, some evenings and weekends SALARY: $39k-$44k annually, DOQ DUTIES: Plans, promotes, and presents youth programs Assists in the development and maintenance of youth collections Creates activities to promote young people's use of the library Provides reference and reader's advisory service to patrons of all ages Develops positive relationships with community groups and schools Provides exceptional customer service to patrons of all ages Works collaboratively with coworkers to carry out the daily operations of the library QUALIFICATIONS: Successful experience working with youth Knowledge of library practices and trends in youth service Bachelor's Degree in any field required, Masters in Library Science preferred Strong communication and technology skills Knowledge of children's literature Previous public library experience preferred APPLICATION: Submit resume and cover letter to Gretchen Evans, Director at gretchen@pawpaw.lib.mi.us.
