Hello Librarylanders! Jackson District Library is doing some research on how other library systems handle their Book Discussion Kits (Book Club Discussion Kits, etc.). We would like to thank several libraries who have already answered our questions, and are looking for more information specifically from multi-branch library systems. How do you handle the circulation of your kits? What kind of supplementary materials are in each kit? Do you take reservations and schedule the distribution of the kits? Do you catalog the kit with one bar code or is each item cataloged individually? Can patrons put kits on hold online? Either for the Branch Book Club or a patron that is picking it up? Lastly, what is your procedure for checking in/out the Book Kit? If it’s written down, would you be willing to share it? Thank you so much!!
