The Commerce Township Community Library is accepting applications for the position of Adult Services Librarian due to a retirement. Under the supervision of the Adult Services Manager, the Adult Services Librarians develops and maintains adult library collections as assigned; provides adult programming; performs professional work in reference, collection development, reader’s advisory, acquisitions, or other areas as assigned. The ideal candidate will enjoy both people and literature; be enthusiastic, creative, energetic and flexible; be an effective communicator; take direction well, be comfortable with technology; be well organized and capable of working independently. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Do you enjoy technology and programming? Are you committed to excellent customer service? If you have experience working with ESL patrons and graphic design, even better! Applicants for this position should possess an MLS/MLIS with previous library experience. Commerce Township Community Library is new and growing. We have just moved to our new building. Compensation from $45,000 DOQ and excellent benefits.
