Request from the Secretary of State request to host town halls in local libraries

Hi, everyone. As you know, libraries across Michigan have worked in partnership with the Secretary of State since 2014 to alert the public about upcoming elections and other election-related news. As part of our new public engagement strategy, we are extending our public outreach and traveling across the state hosting public town halls. As an extension of our partnership with Michigan's public libraries, we want to host these forums with Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and other elected officials at local libraries. We have recently held similar events at the Southfield Public Library and the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. They were well-attended and well-received and we'd be honored to bring this event to your library. If you are interested in hosting a Town Hall with Secretary Benson, please email Loida Tapia, Director of Public Engagement, at TapiaL@Michigan.gov<mailto:TapiaL@Michigan.gov> . I know she would welcome a conversation with you. Cathleen P.
