Chelsea District Board Selects Lori Coryell to be New Director

At a special board meeting on Monday, November 16th, the Chelsea District Library (CDL) Board of Trustees unanimously selected Lori Coryell to be the next director of the Chelsea District Library. Coryell brings to Chelsea a wealth of experience, including 17 years with the Ypsilanti District Library, 10 of them as Assistant Director. She made a mark in Ypsi developing and implementing their strategic plan and conceiving and implementing many new programs such as the Ypsi Song Fest. With extensive community and professional ties, Coryell brought world renowned poets, authors, artists and radio/television personalities to the Ypsilanti District Library for enriching and innovative programs. "In addition to being highly qualified with extensive experience in all facets of library management, the vitality and creativity Coryell brings will mesh well with our dynamic and talented staff, inspiring them to new levels of service and innovation” remarked library president, Elizabeth Sensoli.
