Don't miss out! Application deadline is approaching for the 2019 Michigan Library Harwood Public Innovators Virtual Lab

The Library of Michigan and MCLS, in partnership with The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation<https://theharwoodinstitute.org/>, will be hosting the 2019 Michigan Library Harwood Public Innovators Virtual Lab in October and November for up to an additional 50 Michigan library staff. Over 150 Michigan library staff, representing dozens of libraries, have already completed training. This opportunity will include an eight-week, online Virtual Public Innovators Lab, followed by 18 months of coaching for select libraries. This training is being offered, through a competitive grant process, at no charge to the selected Michigan libraries, with LSTA funding provided through the Library of Michigan. Past participants of similar initiatives have shared the following examples of impact: * Increased library relevance * Program and service initiatives that have higher profile and impact; and * Ability to re-energize staff and volunteers For examples of the value of applying the Harwood practice over time, take a look at the following videos from your peers in Michigan and an overview from The Harwood Institute: http://www.librariesengage.org/videos.php https://youtu.be/EMfAC-CQlZA The application deadline is 5pm Eastern (4pm Central), Aug. 29, 2019.
