Dear Colleagues, We recently engaged Joel Tacey's Video GameFest and found it a bit disappointing given the cost of $345.00. Our experience was such *The "host" merely set up the machines and didn't explain or encourage play. *The host played games with his girlfriend. *The host "forgot" to bring the doorprizes, movie-candy, custom-medals for the champions. He markets to libraries in the area and I wondered if anyone else had experiences with Tacey's Tip Top Entertainment? Sincerely, Jaema Berman -- Jaema Berman Director Addison Twp. Dear Colleagues, I want to thank you all for your very thoughtful responses to my question regarding our experience with Joel Tacey's Video Gamefest. As a follow up, I want you all to know that I had an in depth conversation with Mr. Tacey about the shortcomings of the show and as a result, he has offered us a complete refund. Mr. Tacey responded immediately to my call, listened to our concerns and acted in a responsible and professional manner. Based on his effort to rectify the situation and all the positive reviews of his other programs, we will certainly consider hiring his company in the future. Thank you! I passed yesterday's concerns on to our Davison librarian who carefully monitored the Gamefest program in the afternoon. The facilitator was highly engaged with the teens and none of the problems listed were observed. Joel Tacey is a quality performer. The fact that he quickly responded and was so gracious is classis Joel. I'm looking forward to working with him more in the future as well! Dear Colleagues, Joel Tacey just left Baldwin after another successful Video Gamefest for our Teens! As in the past, Joel was prompt, professional, enthusiastic, and fun! We booked Joel for a double program. The Video Party followed his ScienceRific Comedy Show for a younger audience with an attendance of over 100. We were all smiling as laughs were heard throughout the library. A very upbeat Gamefest followed with 4 amazing game stations, mini tournaments, and prizes. Joel is one of our favorite hosts and always presents a top notch show. I highly recommend him for future events in our library circles.
