Mothers are always nursing in our library, and no one has ever complained or taken issue with it. We even hold a breastfeeding mothers support group in the Children's Room on a regular basis. Hi All~ I want to thank you all for your responses. The general consensus is that since there is a law in place, there is no need for a policy. To back up Karen on her point about not wanting to discourage or violate the rights of the nursing mother, the intention is to have a policy in place in case someone else objects so we can say, "hey look, this is our policy, now go away and leave this woman alone".
