Hello. I'm preparing for my first Summer Reading Program for youth (0-18 years old), and could use advice from those of you with experience. Although I don't want to overemphasize rewards, I will have "goodie" baskets to raffle for each of 3 age groups (0-4 toddler; 5-11 elementary; 12-18 tween/teen). Plus I'll have a couple other rewards like oversized coloring/activity books and small items. The plan I was thinking of was to hand out raffle tickets at any summer events I host and have children put them in their age group jar. Plus, give out more raffle tickets when completing a monthly reading chart (haven't figured out # of raffle tickets for this - suggestions?). My biggest question is, when you have limited rewards, can you have the same children win more than 1 prize if their name is drawn, or do you limit the prize to one per child? Any other suggestions?
