Advanced Archives Workshop: Step by Step Processing Your Boxes of "Stuff" Friday, September 20 Presenter: Kristen Chinery, Walter P. Reuther Library As part of its 2013 History Skills Workshop Series, the Historical Society of Michigan presents "Advanced Archives: Step by Step Processing Your Boxes of "Stuff"," with Walter P. Reuther Library Archivist Kristen Chinery. Historical organizations often receive donations, boxes of photographs, ephemera, and an array of paper materials that may, or may not, relate to a common source. Participants of this workshop are asked to bring in sample donations of "stuff" so that the speaker can offer a step-by-step approach to re-housing and arranging these collections for the benefit of the whole group. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the HSM Office at 5815 Executive Dr., Lansing, Michigan. Registration is $39 for members of-or those representing a member organization of-the Historical Society of Michigan. For non-members, registration is $79 and includes a one-year HSM membership.
