Talks on Poetry, Accents, Shortest History of AI and NPR Podcast Planet Money Dearborn Library
My name is Dan Lodge and I am one of the librarians at the Dearborn Public Library We have several virtual talks coming up this month that I wanted to bring to your attention. - This Saturday April 18th at 11am, I will be talking in-person with author and poet Maya Salameh regarding her new collection of poetry entitled *Mermaid Theory*. - On Tuesday, June 28th at 6:30pm, I will be talking virtually with Professor Valerie Fridland regarding her new book Why We Talk Funny: The Real Story Behind Our Accents. Is there a mid-Michigan accent? - On Thursday, June 30th at 6:30pm, I will be talking virtually with Toby Walsh, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of New South Wales in Australia. It will be the morning of May 1st for him when we talk! - On Thursday, May 14th at 6:30pm, I will be talking virtually with one of the hosts of the NPR Podcast Planet Money, Alex Mayyasi, about his new book with the same title.
