Please note that the Paid Leave and Minimum Wage changes due to be implemented in February can be very complex depending on: * A library's existing relationship with its municipality (i.e. if the library actually is the legal employer of the library staff - which is the situation in many libraries), * The library's current paid leave policies (do you have separate leave and sick policies or are they combined?, * How large the library is (fewer than 10 employees or more than 10?). and other factors. One library's policy will not likely transfer to another. Review samples but please run a finished policy by your legal counsel! Also, as Val indicated, there are several bills in lame duck that would change these laws before February.
