Hi, I've been purchasing copies of used books for our "Classic Book Discussion" series. If someone wants a copy of the book being discussed, they can essentially get their own copy ahead of time. Our Friends organization also graciously allows me to grab extra used copies that may come through their book donations. Instead of purchasing, I was wondering if it was worth asking if other libraries had copies available. I am currently looking for To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee , We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson, The Time Machine by H.G. Wells, and Kindred by Octavia Butler. I am hoping to get 5-8 copies of each. Please only consider this if you know it would not ruffle any feathers! 🙂 Email nemeca@boynelibrary.org if you have something.
