The Alpena County Library is seeking a high-energy, customer-service-focused individual with a passion for public libraries and management experience to lead our growing Youth Services department, which serves children and teens ages 0-18! The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the right to read and have an interest in and knowledge of classic and contemporary youth literature, child and teen development, and age-appropriate on- and off-site programming and events, including the Library's annual Summer Reading Program. Flexible availability is a must, as evenings and weekends are often necessary; this is a full-time, in-person position.
